Act of Remembrance at Burma Star Memorial


All those who died in the Far East during the Second World War were commemorated at an Act of Remembrance at the Burma Star Memorial in the Westgate Gardens yesterday (Thursday 15 August).

The event was conducted by the Rev Canon Paul Kerr, the Chaplain to the Canterbury Branch of the Royal British Legion.

Wreaths were laid, guests observed a minute’s silence and the Last Post was sounded.
