People who work quietly behind the scenes to benefit others could be in line to win a Lord Mayor’s Award.
Nominations for the annual award scheme, which is in its 21st year, are now open. There are no age limitations and nominations are welcome from all walks of life.
Nominees must live in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable or a village in the district. The deadline to put someone forward is Friday 12 July. Entries will be judged by the Lord Mayor, Cllr Terry Westgate, and a representative from each of the political groups at the city council.
