Herne Bay is set for another fun-packed six weeks of events for all the family, as Bayfest makes a hugely welcome return to the town over the summer holidays.
Bayfest 2018 features everything from family workshops, crafts and storytelling, through to live music events, the classic car show and the ever popular cartoon festival – and plenty more in between.
Opening with a lantern parade on Sunday 29 July, there are then events to enjoy every weekend, including Herne Bay’s Got Talent, the carnival, a food and drink festival and a jazz and swing festival.
The final preparations were being made to the progamme as District Life went to print, so follow social media and the local press for the very latest announcements.
Bayfest is a community-organised festival, supported and part-funded by the city council. This year, the council has appointed a Community Events Coordinator to help the organising committee, with the aim of encouraging the growth of the festival in future years.
