The ever-popular Canterbury Food and Drink Festival will be returning for four more years.
Canterbury City Council has just awarded the contract to run the event to The Event Umbrella following a competitive tender process. The three-day festival takes place in the Dane John Gardens in late September and has become one of the city’s leading events, attended by thousands of people.
Chairman of the council’s Community Committee, Cllr Neil Baker, said: “The Canterbury Food and Drink Festival is one of the highlights of the year and rounds off the summer in spectacular style. We’re delighted it will be taking its place in the events calendar for another four years.”
This year’s Canterbury Food and Drink Festival is from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September. More details will be announced soon.
