Tickets are now on sale for Canterbury’s first Christmas ice rink, which comes to the Dane John Gardens between Friday 29 November and Wednesday 1 January.
Canterbury on Ice is being run by the city council as a commercial and cultural venture. The council has chosen the company that provides the rink for the ITV show Dancing on Ice to supply and install the Canterbury rink.
It will operate every day (except Christmas Day) until New Year’s Day. Opening times vary, but will be from 10am to 9pm on weekends and during the school holidays.
The rink, which will have a clear roof to allow skating whatever the weather, will be complemented by a variety of food and drink outlets, including sweet and savoury snacks, hot drinks and alcoholic seasonal drinks at the Christmas bar.
