Candidates confirmed for Wincheap by-election

The candidates standing for election in the city council by-election for Wincheap ward on Thursday 13 November have been confirmed this afternoon.

They are:

Peter Campbell (Green Party)
Elliot Curryer (Conservative Party)
Jasmin Dallos-Foreman (Labour Party)
Guy Meurice (Liberal Democrats)
Colin Spooner (Reform UK)

A reminder of some key dates for this election:

The deadline to be registered to vote is Tuesday 28 October. This can be done on the national government website.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 29 October – you can apply online.

The deadline to apply for a proxy vote or for a Voter Authority Certificate (for photo identification purposes), is 5pm on Wednesday 5 November.

On polling day, polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm as usual.

Wincheap ward residents only need to register to vote if they are not already registered, and they do not need to apply for a postal vote if they already have one.
