All set for elections on 6 May
Tomorrow (Thursday 6 May), elections take place for Kent County Council and the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, as well as the city council by-elections in Swalecliffe and Westgate wards.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.
Things might look slightly different in your polling station as some safety measures are in place due to Covid.
* Please wear a face covering while in the polling station to help keep election staff and other voters safe
* Social distancing measures will be in place, so please be prepared to queue or wait if necessary
* Please bring your own pen or pencil to vote
* If you feel unwell, please do not come to the polling station. You can arrange for an emergency proxy vote (where someone votes on your behalf) up to 5pm on polling day – see information on our website
* If you have asked for a postal vote and have not yet returned it, you can hand it in to a polling station in your area, the council offices, or use one of Royal Mail's priority post boxes
The votes for the Kent County Council election and the two city council by-elections will be counted on Friday and we will be covering that live on our social media pages.
Votes for the Police and Crime Commissioner election will be counted on Monday and we will post the Canterbury district result on social media once confirmed.
