Draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2022-2027

Draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2022-2027

The council is required by law to have a Statement of Licensing Policy. The current policy will expire in April 2022 so it needs to be reviewed and readopted.

We are proposing to readopt the current policy but with changes to:

  • Section 10, cumulative impact of a concentration of licensed premises
  • Section 20, licensing forum

The draft policy is based on a template and approach used by all licensing authorities in Kent formulated through the Kent Licensing Steering Group in order to promote consistency across the county.

Have your say

We would like to know what you think about the policy. Give us your views by completing our questionnaire by 5pm on Tuesday 31 August 2021.

All the feedback we receive will be reported to councilors towards the end of this year before the final policy is adopted.
