Hampton Pleasure Ground toilets closure

Hampton Pleasure Ground toilets closure

This consulation concerned a proposal to close the public toilets at Hampton Pleasure Ground.

The toilet block at Hampton Pleasure Ground is currently only open between March and October. It is closed between November and March.

Closing the toilets would save the council around £13,000 a year in running costs.

The building is more than 40 years old and in a poor state of repair. We would need to spend at least £180,000 to bring it up to a decent standard.

Alternative public toilets are available a five-minute walk away at Hampton Pier. These toilets are open all year round.

Consultation ended at 5pm on Monday 28 March.

All the feedback we received will be reported to councillors later in the year who will decide whether or not the toilets will be closed.
