Housing Revenue Account budget consultation for 2025/26
Canterbury City Council will set its budget for 2025/26 in February 2025 and is asking for your views on our proposals for the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget.
The HRA is paid for from the rent and service charges we collect from more than 5,000 homes we own and manage.
HRA money can only be spent on services for council tenants and leaseholders.
It is a ring-fenced account and separate from the council’s main day-to-day spending budget which is known as the General Fund.
The proposals for the HRA for 2025/26 are set out in the following documents:
- Draft Housing Revenue and Capital Budget – Cabinet report
- HRA revenue summary
- Capital programme
- Housing repairs account
- Impact on average rents
- Estimated effects of proposed increases in service charges
This consultation ended on Monday 6 January. Thank you to all those who took part. All comments will be taken into account when councillors meet to set the HRA budget in February.
