Scrap metal dealers policy review

The council is seeking to re-adopt its current licensing policy for scrap metal dealers, as it feels the robust policy reflects the aims and objectives of the legislation and the needs of the Canterbury district.

This consultation closed on 2 September 2024 but we are leaving the draft policy on this page for the public’s information. You can no longer comment on it.

The results of the consultation will be reported to Cabinet in October 2024.
