Tenant Engagement Strategy

We want our social housing tenants to have their voices heard when it comes to decision making that affects their lives.

Our Corporate Plan makes this a priority as do the Consumer Standards issued by the Regulator of Social Housing which came into effect in April 2024.

This consultation was on the draft Tenant Engagement Strategy which sets out a proactive and coordinated approach that:

  • centres tenant voice in decisions at all levels
  • clarifies how tenants can influence, challenge, and scrutinise
  • establishes clear and consistent feedback processes
  • improves representation, particularly of underheard voices
  • builds transparency, trust and accountability
  • reinforces our regulatory preparedness and long-term commitment to tenant involvement

When helping us to formulate this strategy, tenants highlighted the importance of being involved earlier in decisions, transparent communication and seeing impact from feedback.

We were asking if you think our proposed strategy does that or could be improved.

The consultation closed on Monday 6 October. Thanks to all who took part.
