Appeal for information after Thanet Way flytipping incidents

Flytipping on the Thanet Way

Over the last week we have had two flytipping incidents in a short access road off the A299 Thanet Way near the Crab and Winkle Line.

Do you recognise any of the items in these photos? Can you help us track down who is blighting that area in this way?

We suspect they are the product of a house clearance and that someone will know exactly where it has come from.

There is no identifying information on the waste itself, so now we are appealing to the public for their help.

Given the size of what has been dumped and the location beside a high speed road, a lane closure will be required so that Kent Highways can safely remove the waste. This takes time and effort to arrange, not to mention taxpayers’ money, and will also inconvenience motorists.

If you have any information, please email us in confidence at streetsceneenforcement@canterbury.gov.uk.
