Candidates confirmed in PCC election

On Thursday 2 May, voters in the district will go to the polls to elect a new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Kent.

The candidates in this election have now been confirmed as:

Graham David Colley – Liberal Democrats
Lenny Rolles – Labour and Co-Operative Party
Matthew Richard Scott – Conservative Party

Some important dates to remember:

  • Deadline to register to vote – Tuesday 16 April
  • Deadline to request a postal vote or change an existing postal vote arrangement – 5pm on Wednesday 17 April
  • Deadline to request a Voter Authority Certificate (a form of photo identification) – 5pm on Wednesday 24 April
  • Deadline to request a proxy vote – 5pm on Wednesday 24 April

You will need to show photo identification if you are voting in person at the polling station.

If you have requested a postal vote, these will be sent out after Thursday 18 April.

The count will take place on Sunday 5 May.
