Garden waste collections update for 17 to 21 March

We would like to say sorry to residents for the confusion about garden waste collections this week and set out how we are putting it right.
This relates solely to green bin collections this week – 17 to 21 March. All other collections are unaffected.
We know the original terms and conditions for the 2024/25 subscription year said there would be a collection this week and that the year would end on 21 March.
For operational reasons, we had to change the dates during the year. We wrote to subscribers who were affected by this change in January to explain that collections were restarting a week earlier after the Christmas break and would be ending on 14 March instead, meaning there would not be a collection this week.
But we accept this message was not as clear as it could have been and did not get through to everyone affected. People have, understandably, still been working to the dates in the original Ts and Cs.
To say sorry and put this right, all subscribers who were originally expecting a collection this week will receive a collection next week (w/c 24 March), on their usual day.
This is, in effect, an extra collection, free of charge, for all of those subscribers affected.
The new subscription year then starts on Monday 31 March. These properties are scheduled to be collected first on the rota, so this means that for those who have signed up for 2025/26, you will receive a garden waste collection two weeks running.
Again, we apologise for the confusion this week and have done everything we can to address this.
