City wall wildflower meadow providing biodiversity boost

If you’ve been past the city wall in the last few weeks, you may have noticed our new wildflower meadow is coming on a treat.

There have been lots of comments about how great it’s looking and these have been very much appreciated!

We are really pleased with how well this has taken in the main, along with the boost it is providing to biodiversity.

There are a few patches that haven’t quite taken off, seen here in the picture below, and we’ll be following this up to try and ensure these areas catch up with those parts that are flourishing, pretty much next to them.

Developing a wildflower meadow like this is never an exact science, but all in all it’s going really well and we expect to see it continuing to blossom as we head through spring and summer.
