If, like thousands of others, you’ve enjoyed the convenience of our garden waste collection service, it is now the time to renew your subscription.

You will have to do this even if you used to pay via Direct Debit.

This year, we’re moving to secure online card payments meaning all Direct Debits have been cancelled.

Please renew your subscription by visiting canterbury.gov.uk/garden.

For those who can’t sign up online, you can do so over the phone by calling 01227 947 860.

This year, we will no longer be using stickers.

Instead crews will use in-cab technology to manage collection rounds to see who has signed up and paid.

Waste will continue to be collected fortnightly, but will now start at the beginning of April 2024 and end in March 2025, with a short break between the end of December and the end of January.

This means subscribers will get two more collections compared to previous years.

The annual cost for this year is set at £57.20 for the first bin and £45.10 for each additional garden waste bin at your property.
