Winter Well events offer tips and support

Local people can get tips and support with keeping well and staying warm this winter at two events during November.
The ‘Winter Well’ sessions take place as follows:
- Friday 7 November, 9am to 1pm – Age UK Herne Bay, Reculver Road, Herne Bay
- Friday 28 November, 3.30pm to 6pm – Herne Bay Family Hub, King’s Road, Herne Bay
The sessions are jointly organised by the city council and NHS.
On both days, people can pop in for a cuppa and a chat, get support with paying bills, heating the home and eating well, and access help with the cost of living.
At the first session, there will also be advice on offer on dementia, oral health and stopping smoking.
And on 28 November, the event also includes children’s arts and crafts, a free advent calendar for children (kindly supported by Morrisons and Sainsbury’s and only while stock lasts), a free raffle to win an air fryer, slow cooker or iron, and the chance to report issues to the council’s housing repairs contractor, Cardo.
No booking is necessary to attend either session – just pop in.
