Public consultation meeting on Canterbury market proposals

A public consultation meeting about proposals to reintroduce the weekly general market in Canterbury city centre takes place next week.

The event is at Tower House in the Westgate Gardens on Wednesday 13 December between 5pm and 6.30pm. No booking is required – simply drop in.

Council officers will be there to answer questions and hear opinions.

The consultation seeks views on the market’s return and the kind of products people would and would not like to see on sale.

Anyone who would like to comment on this issue but cannot attend the meeting can read more information and complete a questionnaire on our website.
